Course: Running Workshop - Level 1

Participants should expect to learn basic running analysis skills, including: technique assessment, the identification of key contributing factors underlying inefficient running technique and strategies to train more efficient running technique. Participants will learn how to use the coachmyvideo app as a tool to assist in this analysis.

Brief biography - Peter Roberts

Peter is a Specialist Musculoskeletal physiotherapist (as awarded by the Australian College of Physiotherapists), a titled APA Sports and Musculoskeletal physiotherapist and works predominantly as a Private practitioner in the management of people with persistent musculoskeletal pain.

Peter is a visiting lecturer and a clinical educator on the Masters in Sports and Musculoskeletal postgraduate physiotherapy programs, at the University of South Australia and the Masters physiotherapy program at Flinder’s University.

1999 - current, co-founded with 2 psychologists the Paragon group pain management Program.

Current  Projects:

  • ·    Conduct 2 day Clinical pain courses for the APA with Alastair Flett and Lester Jones.
  •      Facilitator and Conduct a Case Series Research project “ Management of complex non-recovered workers: testing the feasibility and appropriates of a new model of care”.  Supervised by Saravana Kumar Uni Sa and Dan Harvie, Griffiths Uni, funded by RTWSA
