Thinking in Systems for the Hip & Pelvis in Exercise & Sport

Course: Thinking in Systems for the Hip & Pelvis in Exercise & Sport

This course is presented by Leanne Rath (FACP).

This Level 1 Course provides an applied context of Systems Thinking in the clinical reasoning of hip and pelvic girdle pain in Sport and Exercise related hip and pelvic girdle pain. The "scene" will be set to consider the active human movement system in both healthy development and injury / pain within the context of exercise. The attendee can expect to be taken through a clinical reasoning approach to differentiate between the diagnosis of hip impingement and hip instability presentations. The systems thinking approach will be explored looking at interactions leading to both anterior and posterior pelvic pain presentations in sport.

The Multi-planar Systems Approach (MSA) to whole body coordination will be presented, practiced and discussed in terms of its evidence-base, clinical utility and treatment relevance in hip and pelvic girdle presentations.
