'I Want My Daughter To Work Towards Walking'

Join the Paediatric Group end of year get together to acknowledge our peers and hear a presentation by Rochelle Matacz .

The evening will start with nibbles and drink at 6 pm, follow up a quick summary of the year and the recognition of our members through the Peer Awards. Our evening lecture will start at 7pm for 1.5hrs on the following topic.

Moving beyond symptoms to understand the emotional meaning of an infant's delays in physical development.

 The lecture will focus on an Infant Mental Health relational approach to working with families from Pregnancy through to 3 years. It will include a detailed case example of a distressed mother-infant dyad titled: I want my daughter to work towards walking: Moving beyond symptoms to understand the meaning of an infant’s delays in physical development.  This case study will demonstrate how an IMH model of assessment and intervention is used in practice within a multidisciplinary team context. It will include application of the DC: 0-3R and video material of the parent-child interactions during home visits.
