Workshop: Cancer Care and Lymphoedema Aquatic Physiotherapy

This presentation will highlight the cancer treatment side effects and the role of aquatic physiotherapy in cancer and lymphoedema care.

Examples of exercise prescription will include a practical session in the pool as well as a final Q & A session.

Please note catering is not included with this event.

Please bring your lunch or there is the option to purchase food at the pool.

Please bring towel, swimmers, thongs/sandals and water bottle.

Presenter: Robyn Box , APAM

Dr Robyn Box is principal of a Brisbane private physiotherapy practice.
Her PhD investigating the effects of Physiotherapy for Breast Cancer Rehabilitation and Early Detection of Lymphoedema was completed in 2000.  Robyn is committed to providing patient-focused evidence-based best practice to optimise outcomes for patients.  Her particular clinical and research interests are physiotherapy rehabilitation after cancer treatment and to optimise quality of life for individuals.
