MJ Rosen Fund grants

The Marcus J Rosen Fund was established with generous financial support from the Rosen family and the WA Physiotherapist Registration Board. The fund is in honour of Marcus Joe Rosen, who qualified in Victoria in 1931 and, following his military service as an Army physiotherapist, set up practice in St Georges Terrace. He was a foundation member of the Physiotherapist Registration Board WA, and was the first physiotherapist to become a member of the board. He was also a foundation member of the WA Branch of the APA as well as the Private Practitioner's Group (now PBA) and made a major contribution to the physiotherapy profession and the APA over an extended period of his professional career.

The Rosen Fund grants have been set up to encourage research in WA by new and recent graduates. WA Branch new/recent graduate members who present their research findings at a relevant conference, based on their honours or thesis project, can apply for a grant of $500. The funds are to assist with conference presentation costs.

This year we congratulate the following four members for their successful applications:
  • Emmanuelle Chow
  • Nardia Klem
  • James Lewin
  • Nathan Stephens
