The APA’s Vision is “that the whole community recognises the full benefit of physiotherapy.”
It’s important then to widely communicate the benefits of physiotherapy and alert the community that with physio, they’re choosing treatment by practitioners who are highly trained, adhere to high professional standards, and are committed to proven, evidence based outcomes.
Two key elements are emphasised in our campaign materials:
- The depth and breadth of conditions that physios treat is extensive
- The strong partner relationship between physios and GPs
To complement the campaign, a new site: www.choose.physio provides consumers with quality information about their health concerns and how physiotherapy can help.
The site features a user friendly Find A Physio search for people to locate their nearest APA physiotherapist.
Social media competition: 'I choose physio because...'
It’s time to tell us why you #choosephysio! The APA is running a social media competition open to all Australians. By simply filling in the sentence, ‘I choose physio because…’ you’ll go in the draw to win a pair of Asics runners to the value of $260. Entries can be made via the APA Facebook or Instagram and are open until 28 June 2018—the most creative entry wins! Share with your patients, colleagues and friends to encourage all Australians to understand the breadth and depth of what physiotherapy can do for them.
